Peter P. "Pat" Sutton, III, 64, of Jonestown, Fishing Creek Township, passed away on April 2, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Commonwealth Hospice of Berwick after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born on July 11, 1957, in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pat was the son of the late Peter P. Sutton, Jr. and Shirley (Hoyt) Sutton.
Pat graduated from Northwest Area High School. He had been employed by Chapin Sewage Disposal (Marsico's Septic and Environmental Services, LLC) for over forty years.
Pat last attended the Benton Assembly of God church in Stillwater.
He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and the Indian Artifact Collectors Association of the North East. In addition, he was a former member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and trapping. He especially enjoyed hunting locally with his grandsons, Austin and Colton, and also out-of-state hunting trips with his friends in Maine. Most of all, he enjoyed the Spring Gobbler and Fall Turkey hunting seasons.
Pat had a great interest in and a deep respect for Native American culture and enjoyed attending artifact shows and events. He had a special interest in artifacts made of jasper.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years G. Jane (Kline) Sutton; daughters Jenny Albertson and Julie (Henry) Wang; grandsons Austin Albertson and Colton (Kirstyn) Albertson; great-grandson Ian Russell Albertson; sister Diane (John) Troutman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends he considered and loved as family.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Dodson Cemetery, Shickshinny, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Shellenberger officiating.
