Raymond J. Murgatroyd, Jr.

Raymond J. Murgatroyd, Jr., 70, of Stillwater, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Sunset Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomsburg.  Born in Philadelphia on July 18, 1953, he was the son of the late Raymond J. Murgatroyd, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Lee) MacPherson.

Mr. Murgatroyd was a longtime employee of Educational Testing Service in New Jersey.  On October 19, 1985, he wed the former Cynthia L. Wintersteen.  Together, they raised their daughter and shared nearly 38 years of marriage. 

Raymond was a member of Newtown Lodge No. 427 F & AM.  He was also a model train enthusiast who lovingly handcrafted layouts.  

Surviving Raymond are his wife, Cynthia L. (Wintersteen) Murgatroyd of Stillwater; daughter, Courtney Kelley and husband, Cole; grandson, Easton Kelley; father-in-law, Donald Wintersteen; half-sister, Nancy Santoski; aunt, Linda Chichilitti; and uncle, John Murgatroyd.
