Rebecca A. "Becky" (Kingsbury) Vick, 61, of Las Vegas, NV and formerly of Stillwater, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2020.
Born April 3, 1959 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, she was a daughter of Beverly (Ribble) Kingsbury, formerly of Stillwater and currently of Boonsboro, Maryland and the late John "Jack" Kingsbury, who died in 1983.
Rebecca was a 1977 graduate of Benton Area High School where she was captain of the field hockey and basketball teams as well as a member of the color guard. She was voted "Most Athletic" by her graduating class.
She joined the U. S. Army in 1977 and served until 1980 when she received an honorable discharge. She was stationed in Ansbach, Germany as a Specialist 4 and had been awarded marksmen medals and the Good Conduct Medal. She was a driver for the top brass in the 1st Armored Division. While serving in the Military, she married and gave birth to her first daughter.
Following her military service, she and her family settled in Madison, WI, where she gave birth to her second daughter. The family relocated to Phoenix, AZ in 1998 and in 2014 she moved to Las Vegas to help with the arrival of her first grandchild.
She had been employed in management in the food industry for more than 20 years. However, once in Las Vegas, she began a new career in the casino industry and worked for Boyd Gaming, where she advanced to management.
Rebecca enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as gardening, cooking, and watching westerns but was happiest when with her daughters and grandchildren.
Surviving, are her mother, Beverly (Ribble) Kingsbury, of Boonsboro, MD; two daughters: Lisa Sosh of Las Vegas, NV; Laura Cinelli and her husband, Robert, of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren: Lola and Roman, of San Diego, CA; four sisters and a brother: Connie Boonie and her husband, Ken, of Beavertown, PA; Yvonne Kingsbury, of Stillwater; Jill Derr, of Indiana, PA: John Kingsbury and his wife, Beth, of Red Rock; Wendy Strunk and her husband, Casey, Sr., of Boonsboro, MD and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Sunday, June 27th, 2021 at 1:30 PM at the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater with Pastor Jeff Farley, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
