Rev. Arthur Hayman Obituary

Rev. Arthur L. Hayman, 83, of the Benton area, died Saturday morning, November 14th, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. 

Born September 15, 1937 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of the late Arthur L. and Dorothy (Lunger) Hayman.  He and his wife, Joan E. (Moses) Hayman, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on July 29th, 2020. 

Rev. Hayman was a 1956 graduate of Benton  High School and later a graduate of Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina in 1966,  where he began his career in the ministry.  He was pastor of the Faith Bible Church in Orangeville for 38 years until his retirement in 2011.  He was a preacher of the Gospel for 47 years in total.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking.  He was also an avid reader.

Surviving are his wife, Joan E. (Moses) Hayman; four children:  Douglas H. Hayman and his wife, Suzi, of Jacksonville, Florida; Leland F. Hayman and his wife, Liane, of Stillwater; Melanie D. DellaPiazza and her husband, Stephen, of Berwick; and Roger J. Hayman and his wife, Shelly, of Benton; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as a brother, the Rev. Franklin F. Hayman, of Bainbridge,  Maine.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Fritz on Sept. 19, 2008; a brother, Jerry Hayman and his two step-mothers:  Rae Hayman and Agnes Bonham Hayman.

Due to unforseen circumstances, the service arrangements have changed and are now as follows:  Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11 AM at Dodson Cemetery, Southdale with the Rev. Franklin Hayman and the Rev. Nathan Hayman, officiating.  Friends and Relatives are invited to visit with the Family on Saturday at the Dodson Cemetery from 10:30 AM until the time of the Graveside Service at 11:00.
