Richard James "Jim" Walters, 70, of Sugarloaf Township, died Wednesday evening, February 28, 2024 at his home.
Born October 20, 1953 in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late Robert J. Walters, who died April 11, 1994 and Phoebe Jean (Perry) Walters, who died November 22, 2010.
Jim attended Benton Schools and later schools in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.
He was employed as a machinist by Kawneer in Bloomsburg.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and in his younger years, enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon (Kishbaugh) Rhinard Walters; two sons: Anthony J. "Tony" Walters and his wife, Tina, of Bloomsburg; Andrew H. Walters, of Benton; three grandchildren: Dylan, Alyssa and Erica; two sisters: Roxie W. Janney and Kathy W. Reifsnyder, as well as nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Marie (Foster) Walters on November 29, 2001; and by a brother, Tony Walters, who died in childhood on October 4, 1959.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
