Richard Dale Williams, 72, of Berwick (Salem Township), died Saturday morning, May 6th, 2023 at his home.
Born July 10, 1950 in Nuttsville, Virginia, he was a son of the late Roy and Lucille (Acors) Williams.
Dale attended the Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Virginia and then faithfully served his country in the U. S. Army in the Vietnam War. He had also served on the Presidential Honor Guard Team for President Eisenhower.
He was of the United Methodist Church faith and was a member of the American Legion.
Dale was involved with his brother, Herbie's "Williams Racing" where he worked as a detail man for the pit crew.
Surviving, are his wife, Nancy L. (Brooks) Williams, of 7 years; a son, Victor Ryan Williams, a daughter, Heather Downey, both of Chesterfield, Virginia; two grandchildren: Brian and Charles Downey; a brother, Herbie Williams, of Ladysmith, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Willie and Tommy Williams.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the Family under the direction of the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Dementia Society of America, P. O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or the Disabled American Veterans, P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
