Ricky L. Swigart

Ricky L. Swigart, 60, of Bloomsburg and  formerly of Benton, died Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania.

Born September 2, 1962 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of the late William W. "Bill" Swigart, who died June 12, 1987 and Hazel D. (Cole) Swigart, who died April 6, 2006.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, of 16 years, Jayne M. (Yocum) Swigart, on April 9, 2022.

Ricky attended Benton High School and was employed in construction for most of his working career. 

 Surviving are his daughter, Mellisa A. Short, of Liberty, Indiana; three grandchildren; his sisters: Deborah L. Schumacher, of Benton;  Bernadine K. Houseweart, of Orangeville; Roxie J. Santos, of Orangeville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers:  Rodney W. Swigart, Sr., on July 12, 2005; Steven J. Swigart on March 4, 2019 and by a sister, Dotty A. Wilson on January 21, 2020.
