Robert James Lynn, Sr.

Robert James Lynn, Sr., 86, of Jamison City and formerly of Berwick, died peacefully at home on April 11, 2021.

Born on July 27, 1934 in Williamsport, Bob was the son of Jennings Wilson Lynn and Helen (Mason) Lynn, both deceased. Bob was the beloved husband of Judith Cecelia (Newcomb) Lynn for sixty-two years.

Bob graduated from Berwick High School in 1952 and attended the Pennsylvania State University. He faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1956, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was employed by the Consolidated Cigar Corporation for over 30 years, from which he retired.

As a youth Bob was active in sports, particularly baseball and football. In later years he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was a loving and kind husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his wife Judith, Bob is survived by his beloved children and grandchildren: sons Robert J. Lynn, Jr. (Jen) of Bellefonte and Daniel P. Lynn (Valerie) of Mifflinville; daughter, Susan Lynn Jungerheld (Hal) of Corolla, North Carolina, and grandchildren: Adam Jungerheld, Lydia O’Brien-Lynn, and Emily Jungerheld. He is also survived by his brother Jennings “Skip” Lynn (Pat) of Berwick, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Hess (Gary) of Berwick.

At the request of the family there will be no services.  The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton is honored to serve the Lynn Family.
