Robert M. "Bob" Zettle, 64, of Sugarloaf Township, died early Tuesday morning, May 18, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He had been in declining health for the past several years.
Born July 17, 1956 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Charles E. Zettle, who died Dec. 18, 1998 and Roberta A. (Belcher) Zettle, who died Dec. 17, 2004. He and his wife, Joyce I. (McKeel) Zettle, celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on March 23rd.
Bob attended Benton High School and had been employed by the Benton Foundry for many years. More recently he worked as a carpenter in the Benton area until his retirement.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Soap Stone Hunting Club and the NRA.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Joyce, are a daughter, Christie L. Zettle, of Missouri and his loyal canine companion, Nellie.
Along with his parents, he was the last member of his immediate family, being preceded in death by a brother, Richard S. Zettle on Jan. 30, 2015 and by a sister, Deborah A. Wedge on Jan. 15, 2005.
