Ronald S. Yost

Ronald S. Yost, 81, of Benton Township, died early Saturday morning, January 21st, 2023 at his home.

Born December 31, 1941 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Sheldon E. Yost, who died May 5, 1993 and Marion R. (Doty) Yost, who died April 5, 2018.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline M. "Jackie" (Green) Yost, on January 14th, 2012.

Ronnie attended the former Stillwater School and later Benton Schools.  He worked as a carpenter in the construction field.

He faithfully served his country in the U. S. Air Force.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and woodworking.

Surviving, are children:  Troy D. Hess, of Benton; Rhonda R. Hess and her husband, Steven, of Benton; Tammy C. Traugh and her husband, Daren, of Benton; Valerie S. Lancenese and her husband, Geoffrey, of New Columbus; Laurie L. Poorman of Milton, NH; 5 grandchildren:  Anthony Cote, Alex Vera, Dayton Hess, Sara Hess and Morgan Lancenese; 6 great grandchildren; two brothers:  Sheldon "Rod" Yost and his wife, Peggy, of Stillwater and Stephen L. Yost, of Anderson, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.

 In addition to his wife and parents, Ron was preceded in death by two brothers:  Carroll A. Yost and Arthur W. Yost.

 Private services, at the request of the deceased, will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Lung Association, 55 W.
