Rosanne M. (Mulgrew) Owens, 72, Sweet Valley, (Fairmount Township) died Monday evening, June 8, 2026 at her home following a lengthy illness.
Born September 19, 1953 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Bodalski) Mulgrew. She and her husband, Charles E. Owens, would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on September 4th.
Rosanne was a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School in Philadelphia. She had been employed as the Assistant Post Master at the Huntington Mills Post Office for many years.
She was a member of Stillwater Christian Church.
She served as the director for Daily Vacation Bible School at Patterson Grove Campground for many years. She was very involved with her children's activities as they were growing up.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Charles, are her three children: Kristen Owens, and her son, James LeValley; Charles Owens, III and his wife, Becky; and Jeanna Elrod and her husband, Rocco and their children, Addison and Rocco Jr . Also surviving are her grandchildren as well as her siblings:
John Mulgrew, of New Jersey; Eileen Hughes, of California; Anne Marie Mulgrew-Melinchock and her husband, John Melinchock, of Philadelphia; Robert Mulgrew and his wife, Betsy, of Philadelphia; Patrice McKissick and her husband, James, of Philadelphia; Terrance Mulgrew and his wife, Aiko, of Florida; Virginia Lambe and her husband, Gary, of Philadelphia. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Michael Mulgrew and Dennis Mulgrew.
Services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 2 PM at the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater with Pastor Scott Lyons, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to: Autism Speaks (autismspeaks.org).
