Roy Gerald Rhinard, 87, formerly of Three Springs Road, Stillwater, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 following a prolonged illness.
Roy was born in Fishing Creek Township on September 14, 1933, son of the late Orvie D. and Cora E. (Hess) Rhinard.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather with a great sense of humor. Roy was employed as a carpenter for many years and also farmed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He faithfully attended Bible Baptist Church in Benton prior to his illness.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brothers, Warren and Kenneth Rhinard and his sister, Shirley Avery.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Virginia, his son, Douglas Rhinard and wife Peg, and daughter, Beth Ann Meyers and husband Scott as well as grandchildren, Meghan Deitterick and husband James, and Alyssa Sanonu and husband Iopu and great grandchildren, Lilly and Abigail Deitterick and Makai Sanonu.
Also surviving are his sisters, Audrey Reed of Allenwood and Ruth Wenner of Stillwater.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 24 at 1:30 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road (State Route 487) with Pastor Paul S. Moseley, Sr. officiating. The Viewing will be Thursday from 12:30-1:30 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Dodson Cemetery outside Southdale.
