Ruth M. (Stoudt) Edelstein, 94, of Grand Ledge, Michigan, died late Tuesday evening, March 11, 2025 at the Wolf Run Village in Hughesville, where she had been a resident since January 27th.
Born April 24, 1930 in Topton, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Gertrude M. (Kramer) Stoudt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Edelstein on January 24, 2025.
Mrs. Edelstein was a graduate of Topton High School. She had worked for Classic Aircraft, Inc., in Lansing, Michigan as the secretary / office manager.
She was a member of the Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church. She was also a lead singer for the Sweet Adeline's and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Her hobbies included gardening and growing flowers.
Surviving, are her four children: Robert N. Edelstein, Jr., and his wife, Theresa, of Garden Valley, Idaho; John K. Edelstein, of Martville, New York; William A. "Bill" Edelstein, and his wife, Barbara, of Benton; and Sue Ann Cavanaugh, and her husband, Joseph, of Bellefonte. Also surviving are her seven grandchildren: James Edelstein and his wife, Theresa; Chris Edelstein and his wife, Nicole; William Edelstein, Jr. and his wife, Kristen; Heather Horsley; Eric Edelstein and his wife, Joanna; Kristin Cavanaugh and Erinn Cavanaugh; eight great grandchildren: Emma Horsley; Ross William Horsley; Sara Horsley; Zephyr Horsley; Annabelle Edelstein; Roslyn Edelstein; Adalyn Edelstein and Huxley Edelstein. Also surviving are her 3 sisters: Faye Haas; Mary Boyer and Carol Knerr.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Stoudt and a sister, Gladys Barclay.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton, is honored to serve the Edelstein Family.
