Ruth Ann (Portanova) Lorson

Ruth Ann (Portanova) Lorson, 74, of North Centre Township, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024  at her home.

Born December 5, 1949 in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of the late
Carl "Lewie" Portanova and Arlene "Lena" (Chapman) Portanova.  She and her husband, John Jeffrey Lorson, would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on July 27th.

Ruth Ann was a 1968 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.  She had been  employed by Bercon in Berwick for 12 years. 

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Berwick.

Ruth Ann loved her family dearly and treasured the time that she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Jeff, are three children:  Gina M. DiPippa and her husband, Paul; M. Shane Lorson and his companion, Tracy; Jana L. Bangs and her husband, Joe, all of Berwick; five grandchildren:  Ashley, Anthony, Alex, Gianna, Sophia; five great grandchildren:  Ava, Eros, Emerson, Lilly, Lainey and one on the way.  Also surviving is her brother, Mike Portanova and his wife, Lori, of Jersey Shore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 10 A. M.  at St. Joseph's Church, 721 Monroe Street, Berwick, with Father William Barbee, as Celebrant. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing.
