Sarah entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while surrounded by her loving family at the home she shared with her youngest son Richard on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
Born May 4, 1936 in Reyburn Pa., she attended Shickshinny High School. While raising her family she also held fulltime employment as a seamstress at Luzerne Outerwear; later as a spackler at Deluxe Homes, and Custom Renovations, and prior to retiring she was a care giver to the elderly.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, parents: George and Donzella Hendricks, sisters: Viola Wasilko and Patsy Sult; brothers: George, Robert, and Wesley. She is survived by sister, Donna and brother, Roger, both of New Jersey; sons: Edward (Diane), of Rohrsburg; Theodore, of Wilkes-Barre; Joseph (Cheryl), of Hunlock Creek; Kevin (Fran), of Huntington Mills; and Richard, of Benton; daughters: Cheryl Kachinko, of Larksville, Donna (Paul) Champ of Knoxville, TN; Joann (Doug) Holloway, of Nescopeck, and Pamela (Jim) Hogan, of Glendora New Jersey.
Sarah's greatest joy was her family and watching her 20 grandchildren grow and providing her with 25 great grandchildren.
She enjoyed spending her time on "the farm" watching the animals and seeing Hank, Raven and Piper aka "the dogs" romp. She deeply missed her Shihtzu's Gracie and Maggie who left her way too soon.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 19th, 2022 from 2 to 6 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 478). Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 at 11 AM at McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., with Chaplain Mike Delp, Commonwealth Hospice, officiating. Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
