Sherry L. (Fink) Cole, 70, of Benton Township, died Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born December 30, 1955 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Gardner) Fink.
Sherry was a 1973 graduate of Benton High School and had been employed by various businesses in Benton including the Dollar General Store and more recently at Country Fresh. Years ago, she had also owned and operated a craft store in Benton.
She had been an active member of the Benton V. F. W. Auxiliary for many years.
Sherry loved spending time outdoors; mowing the lawn and working in her yard. She was an animal lover and enjoyed her feline companion, "Taffy", but she especially cherished the time that she spent with her family.
Surviving are her two children: Jarod L. Cole and his wife, Jocelyn, of Benton; Shannon J. O'Hara and her husband, Brendan, of Benton; a step son, Gary Buchman and his fiancée, Kirsti Miller, of Reading; three grandchildren: Abby, Kaylee and Teagan Cole; two nieces: Dawn Sturges and Kimberly Grose, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion, Gary K. Fidler, on January 20, 2020; her sister, Debbie Wojciechowicz on May 21, 2023 and by a niece, Michelle Faux.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, January 12, 2026 at 6 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor Scott Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until the time of the service at 6 on Monday, January 12th at McMichael's.
