Shirley L. (Rupp) Meeker

Shirley L. (Rupp) Meeker, 84, of rural Stillwater, (Fishing Creek Township), died early Thursday morning, August 14, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. 

Born November 2, 1940 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late     Kimber Rupp and Mamie (Neeb) Rupp Gruber.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Meeker in 2003.

Shirley attended Bloomsburg Schools.  She was employed by Milco Industries in Bloomsburg and later for Bonham Nursing Center in Stillwater.

Her hobbies included doing puzzles and she especially enjoyed doing yard work. 

Surviving are her son, Harold K. Wrba and his wife, Linda, with whom she made her home; two step sons:  Larry Meeker and Chris Meeker; five grandchildren:  Kimberly Hess, Neil Hess, Kathleen Wrba, Mike Sweitzer and Nicholas Wrba; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Martha DeWald and a brother, Kimber Rupp as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Larry, she was preceded in death by her step father, Harold Gruber and by a brother, Earl Rupp.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
