Stephen B. Weiner, Sr., 78, of Benton, (Sugarloaf Township), formerly of Ambler, PA, died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the V.A. Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born January 16, 1943 in Abington, PA, he was a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Coleman) Weiner.
Steve faithfully served his country in the U. S. Army during the era of the Vietnam War and was a Disabled Veteran. He was a member of the Commanders Club of the D. A. V.
He was employed by Gill Quarries, Inc., in Chalfont for many years.
Steve enjoyed hunting, his antique car and loved spending time with his family. He especially loved the "gooey" shoofly pies that his sister made for him.
He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Benton; the Allegheny Rockets Chapter of Oldsmobile Clubs of America. He enjoyed going to car shows.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann (Bailey) Iverson Weiner, whom he married on July 17, 2004; a son, Stephen B. Weiner, Jr., of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Ruth Ann Bohlander, of New Mexico; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Shannon Desmore; a sister, Darlene Kellner and her husband, Lee, of Benton and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph B. Weiner on June 8, 2001 and by a brother, Richard Weiner on Sept. 12, 2016.
Services will be held Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at the Bible Baptist Church of Benton with burial in the Raven Creek Cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Paul S. Moseley, Sr., his pastor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Bible Baptist Church, 250 Shickshinny Road, Benton, PA 17814.
