Susan Kay (Wineburgh) McGreevy, 77, of Benton, wife of
Richard L. McGreevy, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Geisinger Medical
Center in Danville.
Born May 12, 1945 in Long Island City, NY, she was the
daughter of Nelson and Regina (Shapiro) Wineburgh. She and her husband, Richard
L. McGreevy, celebrated 58 years of marriage on May 1.
Susan was a graduate of Newtown High School in Queens,
NY. She had worked at several local
businesses including First Columbia Bank and Trust and most recently in the
gift shop at Geisinger Medical Center.
She was a long-time member of the Rohrsburg Christian
Church.
Susan enjoyed shopping.
She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends at her home. Her greatest joy, however, was her
family. She loved spending time with her
beloved grandchildren.
Surviving in addition
to her husband, Richard, are children:
Robert McGreevy and wife, Robin, of Noblesville, IN, Jeffery McGreevy
and wife, Brenda, of Mifflinburg, and Jennifer Fritz and husband, Charles, of
Orangeville; and grandchildren: Cammie
Lawton and husband, Ben, Zachary McGreevy and wife, Mikayla, Adam Fritz, Leah
Fritz, Nora Fritz, and Finneas McGreevy.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by
her daughter, Patricia McGreevy, who passed away November 11, 2022, and by her
brother, Bruce Wineburgh.
Susan’s services will be 11 AM Saturday, December 10, 2022
at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton. Minister Michael Woolcock of Rohrsburg
Christian Church will officiate. Friends
will be received from 9 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in Susan’s name can be
made to the Rohrsburg Christian Church, 636 Rohrsburg Road, Orangeville, PA
