Theodore “Ted” Russell Farwell, 39, flew to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 12, 2023. He was always full of joy and lived his entire 39 years with a desire to serve his Lord and others. He was a dedicated father, devoted husband, loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, neighbor, and best friend to many.
Ted was born in Medina, NY to his amazing parents, Richard D. Farwell and Linda Pam (Dudley) Farwell. He grew up in a large, loving, close-knit family. He spent most of his younger days working on the dairy farm, learning to fly, and riding horses. He made friends with everyone he met, and his soul truly radiated the love of the Holy Spirit. He loved to sing and worship His Lord. His life, without a doubt, inspired many. He considered his most meaningful accomplishment in his life to be having a loving family that loves God.
On a perfect day in May 2015, two lives became one when Ted married the love of his life, Jessica “Jessie” (Metcalf) Farwell. They built a life together on the Firm Foundation and welcomed 3 beautiful children into their family. They expect their 4th blessing in January.
Along with his parents and wife, Ted is survived by his four children: Daniel Wade, Katherine “Katie” Brooke, Laura Jane, and one on the way. His maternal grandparents, Hugh & Eleni Dudley, have left a lasting legacy in Ted’s life. He was also greatly loved by his 5 siblings: Amanda A. Robbins (Alva) of Belmont, NY; Joseph E. Farwell (Rebecca “Becky”) of Benton, PA; William “Will” B. Farwell (Alisa “Ali”) of Benton, PA; Hannah M. Gailey (Clint) of Protem, MO; and Jesse R. Farwell (Andrea) of Albion, NY. Ted had many nieces and nephews that looked up to him; Alyssandra & Amelia Robbins; Leni, Tim, Chris, Ellie, Russell, & Joanna Farwell; Ben, Heidi & Brody Farwell; Holly, Lisa & Marshall Farwell; and Drew Chorba. He also leaves behind his in-laws who adored him, Brad & Susie Metcalf and brother and sister-in-law, Andrew & Shelby Chorba. There are also many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbors that meant so much to Ted and are too numerous to name.
Ted was welcomed into Heaven by his paternal grandparents, Richard D. & Anne M. Farwell and an infant brother.
Family and friends will be received from 4-8PM on Friday, August 18th at Stillwater Christian Church (39 McMichael Street, Stillwater). A Celebration of Life will be held at Stillwater Christian Church on Saturday, August 19th at 10:30AM with a meal to follow. Ted would have loved for all to join in the fellowship that will be had.
In lieu of flowers, contributions for Ted's wife and children may be sent to the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater, PA 17878. (Please include: "Farwell Fund" on the memo line of the check.)
We are better to have known Ted for the short time that we did, than not know him at all.
