Thomas H. "Tom" Kester, 61, of Benton, died early Tuesday morning, December 22, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born November 11, 1959 in Bloomsburg, he was a son of Jean (Lent) Kester of Bloomsburg and the late C. Bill Kester. He and his wife, Tiffany L. (Smith) Kester, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on July 2nd.
Tom was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School. He was employed in management by The Bloomsburg Carpet Company where he retired after 40 years of service.
He was a very active member of the Benton United Methodist Church where he served as a Lay Leader, a member of the Men's Group, served on the Church Council and was a Sunday School Teacher.
Tom was an Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Fishing Creek Sportsmen's Club. An avid outdoorsman and sportsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and doing yard work.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, Jean and his wife, Tiffany, are his two children; Olivia J. Kester and Landon T. Kester, both at home; also surviving are his two brothers and two sisters: David Kester and his wife, Patsy, of Arkansas; Dianne McCurley, of Bloomsburg; Donald Kester, of Bloomsburg and Carol Williams and her husband, Bruce, of Danville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at 6 PM at the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater, with Pastors Scott Lyons and Matthew Verstraeten, officiating.
