Trudie Welliver Obituary

Trudie W. (Wenner) Welliver, 68, of Millville, passed at her home on Sunday, April 5, 2026 with her loving husband and daughters by her side.

Born November 12, 1957 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, she was a daughter of Jessie M. (Fine) Wenner Whitenight, of Benton, and the late Leonard J. Wenner, who died in 1975.  She and her beloved husband, Howard B. Welliver II, would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in September.

Trudie was a 1975 graduate of Benton High School and then earned her R. N. degree from the Williamsport Hospital.  She was employed as a Pediatrics R. N. for 34 years at the Williamsport Hospital, now UPMC.  She later worked at the Eye Center for  Central Pennsylvania in Allenwood for seven years, until her retirement.

She was an active member of Stillwater Christian Church and she faithfully attended her ladies Sunday School Class and Bible Studies over the years.

Trudie especially cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing games with them.  She also enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking and playing Scrabble with her 98 year old mother.  She also had a great love for music which she passed on to her daughters and grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, Jessie, and her husband, Howard B. Welliver II, are her two daughters:  Abigail Dekker, and her five children, of Lancaster; Brooke Kehoe and her husband, Jason, and their six children, of Bloomsburg; and a sister, Sandra Morris and her husband, Tom, of Orangeville.

Along with her father, Leonard J. Wenner, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda E. Morris, who died Nov. 30, 2019 and by her stepfather, Hobart D. Whitenight on June 19, 2019.
