Wade R. Stauffer, 53, of Benton, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at his home. Born in Bloomsburg on February 24, 1972, he was the son of the late Robert S. Stauffer, Jr. and the late Doris R. (English) Toth.
Wade was a graduate of Benton High School, and continued his education at Penn Institute of Technology, where he studied welding. He enjoyed a 25-year career working out of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local Lodge 13. In his younger years, he had worked at the Benton Foundry.
Wade was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making maple syrup and was a member of the Fishing Creek Sportsmen’s Association. He and his father spent many hours building and racing micro sprint race cars.
Surviving Wade are his uncle, Roger English; step-father, William Toth; step-mother, Janet Stauffer; and numerous cousins.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 6 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road (State Route 487), Benton with Pastor Michael Woolcock officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM. The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve Wade’s family.
