Willard G. "Willie" Parsons, 77, of Sugarloaf Township, died Monday, May 9th, 2022 at the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital.
Born July 18, 1944 in Lehman, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Willard and Helen (Novajosky) Parsons.
Willie attended Lehman Schools and then graduated from Dallas High School, Class of 1963.
He was a union floor mechanic by trade and was a member of the Tileworkers BAC Union #5.
Willie was of the Roman Catholic faith. He was a member of the Shickshinny American Legion and the Benton V. F. W.
Surviving, are his wife, Karen S. (Small) Parsons, whom he married in 2007; a son, Francis Parsons and his partner, Allyson, of Harvey's Lake; two grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Jacob Parsons; three step children: Michael Poist, of Benton; Jody Poist, of Carlisle; and Kathy Varady and her husband, Joe, of Phoenixville; five step grandchildren; three sisters: Marianne, Helen, Ann Marie and two brothers: John and Francis.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Parsons.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at 12 Noon at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487). The Family will receive friends on Saturday, the 21st from 10 AM until the time of the Service at noon at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Scholarship Fund of Benton High School, 600 Green Acres Road, Benton, PA 17814.
