William Asbury Obituary

William L. "Bill" Asbury, 54, of  rural Catawissa (Locust Township), died Monday, November 2, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

 

Born January 10, 1966 in Abington, PA, he was a son of the late John D. and Joyce (Blevins) Asbury.

 

Bill was a 1984 graduate of Central Columbia High School.  He assisted his brother, Ron, with the operation of Asbury Drywall.  

 

He faithfully served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps.

 

Bill attended the Catawissa Christian Church.

 

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and also enjoyed working on cars.

 

Surviving are his fiancée, Angela L. (Acornley) Conner; a daughter, Rebecca Vaughter and her husband, Adam, of Pensacola, Florida; a son, William L. Asbury, Jr., of Virginia; four grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Herbert, of Catawissa and a brother, Ronald W. Asbury, of Catawissa.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alisa Creveling, a brother, John D. Asbury, Jr. and by a brother that died in infancy, Michael Asbury. 

 

Military Honors and Memorial Services will be conducted on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11 AM at the Catawissa Christian Church, Main Street, Catawissa.  There will be a Visitation from 10 AM until the time of the Service at the Church.  The Michael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton, is honored to serve the Asbury Family.
