William James Crockett, Sr., of Broadway, PA, passed away the morning of June 25th, 2020, at home from complications of diabetes.
Bill was born January 16, 1943 and was raised in the homestead in Broadway and remained there his entire life. The son of the late Paul and Hazel Dodson Crockett, he attended Lake Lehman High School. He was a member of the Fairmount Springs United Methodist Church and loved the Lord. Bill was also a proud member of Sylvania Masonic Lodge #354, Eastern Star, Caldwell Consistory and Irem Temple Country Club.
Bill was employed for over 30 years for Pargas/Suburban Propane delivering propane to many people over the years. After retiring from Suburban Propane he worked for Wal-Mart. He also took care of the grounds at the Broadway Cemetery for many years. Bill followed NASCAR and anything to do with automobiles. He talked about the car of his youth, his Austin Healy, quite often and enjoyed antique tractors.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were his sister, Donna Jean Crockett, with whom he resided her entire life and missed terribly, and an infant brother during birth.
Surviving are his children, William Crockett Jr. and his wife Adrienne, Dallas, Robert Crockett and his wife Penny, Red Rock, grandchildren Victoria Crockett and Kelli Crockett.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Broadway cemetery. The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton is honored to serve the Crockett Family.
