Message from Garry and Pat Leach - June 06 at 02:38 PM

We only knew Mr. Ashelman for a little over 3 years when his granddaughter, Erin married our son, Lorne Leach. However, we came to enjoy his stories of being in World War II. But, like many hard working "farm boys" who served our country so notably, none of his stories could compare to the list of awards he so humbly received (and never bragged about them either). After reading the details in his obituary, we are so proud to have known him and wished that we could have heard more. It is men like Mr. Ashelman who kept our country and communities safe for the current generation. His courage, bravery, and strength must not be forgotten. His life is a legacy to all who follow and will now have to protect this next troubled world. We are so grateful that he was able to meet his "always smiling" great grandson, Daniel, who he cherished dearly. May God Bless Mr. Ashelman's family during this time of loss.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mr. Ashelman. He was a sweet man and a pleasure to work with. He was always a bright moment in our day when he would come into the office for his check-up. He will be greatly missed. The staff at ACE Hearing Centers.
