Dear Jerry, it has been two years since you left us too soon. Kent and I miss you very much and summer is definitely not the same without you. I miss your smile and those bottles of Kendall Jackson you brought me religiously on every occasion you could even when it wasn’t an occasion! I hope you know just how much you are loved and are missed. Carnivals aren’t the same without you either! Miss you my friend

Dale & I both graduated with Jerry and shared many good times. He was always a great help with our class reunion meetings and willing to step in where needed. He will be missed and thought of often as we plan future reunions.

Our sympathy to the family. We just saw Gerald at our Thomas family reunion in early June. He had a good time participating in the white elephant auction. Such a nice man. We gave him a DVD a couple years ago of the Thomas family that his Uncle Lester recorded. If you haven't had an opportunity to see it, contact us. God strengthen you all in your grief.

Jerry, you will be missed. You have made such an impact on not only my life but the lives of everyone around you. The way you loved my Mom showed me that true love truly does exist. You were her rock until the day she passed and you stood in her stead when it came to important and not so important events in the lives of her children. You were an amazing man and I am sure Mom was waiting with open arms to welcome you to Heaven. God's speed and farewell.....for now. We love you

Jerry was such a HUGE part of my entire life. He was and still is the ONLY man that ever stood in the role as grandfather for both my brother and I. We were so incredibly blessed to have him in our lives and to be cared for by him. When I was very young, I was incredibly terrified of older people and his father scared me. Whenever he had the opportunity, Jerry would hide in his dads chair and jump out and grab me. While at the moment it was the scariest thing in the world, looking back it is one of the things I loved most about him. He welcomed me into his heart and was not just my family, but also agreed to be my God father. This man was and will always be remembered for being an INCREDIBLE man. The way he cared for my Gram for MANY years, the way he was beside her until the end. I remember my heart breaking for him even more than my own when she passed. I know for certain that if anyone gets to heaven, Jerry gets to be there. Thank you Jerry for being so good to us all and to me. Thank you for always making time for the important and even the not so important moments. Making eggs in your kitchen, playing scrabble and yahtzee, sharing memories and coming to my wedding. I cannot possibly explain what you meant to me or how much you will be missed. Timmy, I am sure you like to go by Tim now, thank you for sharing your Grandfather with me and my heart goes out to you. I can only imagine the sadness you feel, but just know that he lives on in the hearts of so many. God bless you all who miss him, a feeling that we all share with you...
